Why would you want to work at United Health Services?

Why would you want to work at United Health Services?
Because United Health Services is committed to serving our community in ways
that go above and beyond the usual definition of health care.
We are a special team of health and human service professionals dedicated to
keeping people well, providing diagnosis and treatment for all ranges of illness
including the most severe, as well as being a key part of the Southern Tier
community.
United Health Services is a complete health care system. Our roots are in this
community. We are governed by a board of directors made up of civic minded
individuals who live here and care about our community. We provide jobs,
charitable care, scholarships, civic volunteers, physician training, medical
research, preventive medicine, health education, and many other services that
benefit thousands of people in this part of upstate New York.
All of us at United Health Services–board members, physicians, employees, and
volunteers alike–are proud of the role we play in the life of our hometown.
And we share a common vision -- to make United Health Services a great place to
work, a great place to practice medicine, and a great place to receive care as
demonstrated by quality and satisfaction results consistently among the best of
comparable health care organizations nationwide.
This is a lofty goal, but it is also a realistic one. Over the years, we have a
record of identifying emerging community needs, taking steps to prepare
ourselves, and instituting new services. We have done this by building our
system over 20 years ago when the idea was still novel. We have developed
regional services in cardiology and neurosurgery much more advanced than is
typical for communities of our size. We have offered primary services and
prevention, such as healthy heart, asthma, and social problem solving skills
training in local schools, and occupational health services for employers that
have become models for other communities. And lots, lots more.
Our employees have opportunities to innovate and to extend their professional
skills. They can make a difference in the lives of individuals and a community.
And of course, we offer competitive salaries and comprehensive benefits. As a
result, we have attracted and have benefited from a wonderful team of people who
share our values of caring and service, who have a sense of partnership, and who
desire to continue learning and improving their abilities to offer hope and
healing.
We hope you’ll take this opportunity to learn more about United Health
Services–and then consider joining our team by submitting your application.
